The master bedroom, with its king-sized bed, is furnished with antique mid-century pieces. Guests awake with a view of some of the amazing rock formations scattered around the 45 acres.

Welcome to our Home.........the Belmont del Norte in beautiful Southern Colorado !!!

Hiking around the property, guests will discover  huge and unusual rock formations, caves and rock-climbing opportunities.


The sweeping  view from the front door shows the  dining area, with a table large enough for 12, stepping down to the roomy eat-in kitchen.  Evident is the "bottle artwork" designed by the artist/builder of this unique home.


The fully stocked, eat-in  kitchen, with its  unparalelled views, offers plenty of room for large groups to gather around.  Amenities include everything needed for great home-cooked meals, and enough dishes and utensils for most any-sized gathering.

The sky seems to go forever, one guest was quoted as saying.  Boasting the most "days with sun" as any region in America, the area's temperate summer climate is ideal for hiking, fishing, rafting, ATV'ing, etc.  Winter weather is perfect for snow-shoeing, skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.   

Stairs lead to the private upstairs bedroom, with possibly the best view from the home.

From this room, guests can view the Great Sand Dunes National Park, and the town of Center.  A telescope (spotter) is available for close-up viewing of the mountains and stargazing at night.


Built in 1947, the Belmont Motor Hotel was said to be Dallas's most stylish motor hotel.  designed by famed architect, Charles Dilbeck, it was brought back to life in 2005 as a boutique hotel.  The original sign, touting the best "Sky View of Dallas" now serves as the "welcome" sign to our home in Del Norte, which we named BELMONT DEL NORTE.  


Beautiful sunrises are the norm, as seen from the backyard.  The lights from the town of Center, seem to compete with the stars.

The aspens, contrasted by the spruce and pine, offer glorious fall foliage from mid-September thru mid-October

Birds, including robins, pinion jays and chickadees flock to the mountain-top to quench their thirst.  Several birdfeeders supply plenty of nutrition for hungry birds. 

November 2015, the property was declared a "CERTIFIED WILDLIFE PRESERVATION  AREA" by the National Wildlife Federation.

The master bathroom offers plenty of space with a huge shower, decorated with tiles from around the world.

Sitting high on its own mountain, Belmont del Norte has been described as "Eclectic Santa Fe".  The area has the look of Northern New Mexico, while only 15 minutes from the forests of the Rocky Mountains.

The large living room is anchored  by the large fireplace to warm up on cold winter nights.

Mt. Bennett can be seen from the living room.

The large, yet cozy den is the perfect place to relax, read, watch TV or gaze at the great outdoors.  The wood stove will be sure to warm you up after a cold day outdoors.

Stairs lead to the "kid's loft" with twin beds.


Equally enchanting are the amazing sunsets as seen from the west.
